Matt Walsh is now endorsed by Rocky Mountain Slide Company. Look for an audio music clip of Matt demonstrating his favorite RMS slide on the company’s website www.rockymountainslides.com coming soon.
“RMSC offers a truly unique hand crafted guitar slide, at an affordable price, to the discriminating guitarist that is looking for a “tonal” bridge between the warmth of ceramic and the balls of a thick glass slide, but wants more volume and a truck load of Rocky Mountain Mojo!” – RMS
Matt’s new album is now available on CDMojo.com. CDMojo’s goal is to put the music of independent artists, small labels, and large labels at the fingertips of the fans that love Roots music. CDMojo was created by the same company that publishes the largest music publications in the Blues, Folk, and Roots genre. They know and love Blues, Folk, and Roots music. CDMojo is a consignment store, which means that you are buying the music from the artists. CDMojo takes a small fee from each sale (included in the price) to cover costs and the rest of the money goes to the artists who need it to keep playing the music.

Matt Walsh and the Maddogs teamed up with vocalist Sweet Betty at an unforgettable show Feb 23rd in Manteo NC, for the Freedmans Colony. This is a great annual event and past performers include Honey Boy Edwards and Beverly Guitar Watkins. If you haven’t heard of Sweet Betty, check her out at:
She is a deep, soulful singer that needs to be heard. After both bands performed Matt and Betty shared the stage for renditions of ‘Brown Liquor’ and ‘Got My Mojo Workin’. Shout out for our new friends Albert White, Sol, and Ardie.
Matt is interviewed by Bob Margolin in the Aug / Sept 2006 issue of Blues Revue magazine!
Matt Hill is 20 and lives in Greensboro, North Carolina, near where I live. Matt Walsh is 28 and lives in Wichita, Kansas, but often visits his family and plays in North Carolina and surrounding states. They love Old School Chicago Blues and have both already gone a long way towards playing it with authentic tone and command of the guitar language. Both of them can sing it too, and improve every time I hear them. They are young today and will keep this style alive on bandstands and preserve it as more than history. They may develop so much themselves that they carry the style forward with their own contributions. Lets talk to Matt and Matt and find out what’s on their minds besides greasy pompadours…
